What a great day to celebrate all the amazing mothers who have given us life, love and some of our little quirks! Mother's Day was invented in the United States in 1872 by American author and women's suffrage advocate Julia Ward Howe. The original idea was that the day should also be a day of peace. A wonderful occasion to tell your mother that you love and appreciate her. And there are many ways to say it...
Thanks for the fight to our mothers and foremothers!
On this day, I will think of my mom and our foremothers. Thank them for everything I have that I fool around and take for granted. Admire their courage and fighting spirit! It's SO crazy what we take for granted today. It's only just over 100 years since women in Denmark got the right to vote. WTF! And yet I allow myself, most of the time, to walk around and forget to appreciate our brave foremothers.

1971: Switzerland! It wasn't until 1971 that Swiss women were allowed to go to the polls. The year I was born!
Thanks mom! ❥
I don't know many people who have supported and helped people in need and spoken up for them, over and over again... A great inspiration and admiration for me and probably many others.
Well - and then there's the dresses! "The apple doesn't fall far from the pear" as she would say. Of course, she has been a great inspiration to me as a designer. I think we can agree that my interest in dresses came from her. In fact, I only got costumes and dress-up dolls in my baby bottle. And thank you very much for that ;)

I need to come up with a small gift... My mother and I LOVE flowers, but there are also lots of good alternatives to traditional cut flowers, which, as we know, are quite harmful to the environment. For example, you could give a plant instead, or perhaps a nice mother-daughter trip to a restaurant or out into nature, where you can enjoy the wild flowers, bushes, and trees that have just sprung up. Another option—or just a supplement to the aforementioned gift ideas—is to give her a small, sustainable gift that she will benefit from and enjoy for a long time.
Take your mother on a trip into the blue...
You can rent a Family Bike and take your mom for a spin too...
