Styling green dresses
You can style your green dress with several different colors. Green and pink are extremely beautiful together, but other colors like yellow and blue also look great with green. Depending on the color combination, you can create different looks for different occasions and the only limit is your imagination. Experiment a little and see which colors work best with the green - and with you.
If you want to focus on the color green, you can also choose to style your dress with more neutral colors like black, white, silver or gold. In winter, you can treat yourself to the delicious sustainable tights from Swedish Stockings - and maybe a cool Ecouture coatto wear over your green dress? The possibilities are endless when it comes to styling.
Don't forget your accessories
There's no doubt that the dress is an important part of an outfit, but often it's your accessories that add the finishing touch. Both gold and silver go really well with green, so you can easily use the jewelry you already have and love. If there are gold or silver details on the dress, it's always nice to match the details with your jewelry for a cohesive look.
If you need a great bag to complete your outfit, we have a large selection of eco-friendly bagsthat are both beautiful to look at and practical to carry with you when you need to get out of the house and have room for your phone, keys and maybe your favorite lipstick. You can choose whether you want a bag in a fresh color that contrasts nicely with your green dress, or if you want one in a muted tone that lets the green color really shine. Whatever you choose, a bag can act as the finishing touch to your outfit.
Keep the green color in the wash
When you buy a new green dress, you want it to retain its beautiful color for a long time to come. That's why it's a good idea to read the washing instructions on the dress before you throw it in the washing machine. There are differences in how our dresses should be washed. Some of them should be hand washed, while others can be machine washed at 30°C.
Regardless of how the dress is washed, our general recommendation is to wash less. Washing clothes takes a lot of wear and tear, so by washing less, you extend the life of your clothes and ensure that they keep their shape, color and quality for many years to come. At the same time, it's an environmentally friendly action, as we can't ignore the fact that the washing machine and dryer are two big environmental culprits.
If you have concerns about the hygienic aspects of doing less laundry, there are many ways to get that freshly washed feeling without resorting to the washing machine. Often the dress itself isn't dirty after a few wears, but we still want to wash it, especially because of the piece that sits under the arms. Instead of washing the dress, you can hang it outside to air. It may not sound very effective at first, but a few hours of airing outside can usually remove the odor from the garment. In addition, you can use our sleeve sheets and odor removerwhich allow you to postpone washing for longer.

Green dresses for everyday and party
It's no secret that Danes love to wear black. For parties, we often resort to 'little black', and for everyday wear, black is also a basic color that most of us trust. If you're used to wearing mainly black, white and grey, wearing colorful clothes might seem a bit overwhelming. If you feel this way, green can be a great place to start when you want to incorporate more color into your wardrobe. Green comes in many different shades, and the dark, deep green in particular is not far from black and can therefore act as a transition to more colorful clothes before you throw yourself into the mailbox red dress, for example.
If you want to add even more color to your wardrobe, take a look at our selection of yellow dresses, red dresses and blue dresses.
If you're not into colorful dresses, we also have a large selection of classic dresses, black dresses in different designs.
Suitable for any season
Green is a very versatile color that can be used all year round. After a long and gray winter, we're all waiting for the trees to burst out again and fill nature with shades of green. This is where the green dress is perfect for welcoming spring. During the summer, it's also a lovely color that brings to mind nature and green oases. You may have a natural inclination to choose a lighter green during the light months, but all shades can be used.
Although green is a great color for spring and summer, that doesn't mean you have to pack your green dress away when fall arrives. The deep green color in particular looks great with the brown and reddish hues of autumn.
As Christmas approaches, the color green once again takes center stage - both in the wardrobe and in Christmas decorations. Just as red is associated with Christmas, green is also a true Christmas color that brings to mind the Christmas tree and Christmas spirit.
So there's never a 'bad time' to invest in a beautiful green dress - it goes with every season.
Green dresses in more than one sense
At Ecouture, it's not just the color that makes the dresses green. Ethical and environmentally friendly clothing production is our most important core value, which is why all our dresses are made from either organic or environmentally friendly fabrics. We make sure to sew our dresses in Europe in sewing rooms with good working conditions and where there is no unnecessarily long transportation from the sewing room to the dress salon in Copenhagen.
Producing sustainable and environmentally friendly clothing has been the core value of Ecouture since the brand was established in 2009, and it's a value we will never compromise on. No matter how much profit we would make by producing 'black', we believe that the future is green - also in the fashion industry. This is especially important if we want to pass on a healthy earth to the next generations, and we want to do our part.

Make a positive impression
Most of us have probably heard that green is the color of hope, so when you wear a green dress, you'll radiate hope, but also optimism and care. Green also symbolizes growth and is often associated with energy and renewal. You're probably already familiar with the term 'going green' for something that means you have no experience in a certain area and can therefore be a step in a new direction. Nowadays, the term 'being green' has also taken on a different meaning, showing that you are environmentally conscious and think sustainably in your everyday life.
Although we most often associate red with the color of love, green is also associated with love for people, animals and nature in a broader sense. If you want to make a good impression, green is an outstanding dress choice!
Green dresses we'll never forget
Mexican painter Frida Kahlo is of course first and foremost known for her colorful paintings. She painted her own reality, and in fact, more than a third of all her paintings were self-portraits. In one of Kahlo's self-portraits, she has painted herself in a beautiful green dress with the finest ruffles. It's a dress that has inspired several of Ecouture's ruffle dresses and is also worn by the beautiful Salma Hayek in the movie 'Frida', which is about Frida Kahlo's life.
When it comes to unforgettable green dresses, we can't go past the green patterned Versace dress that Jennifer Lopez wore to the Grammy Awards ceremony in 2000. Almost 20 years later, Jennifer Lopez walks down the runway at Milan Fashion Week in an updated catwalk version of the same green dress. Both dresses are stunning and iconic in their own way.
