Did you know that Ecouture ponchos are knitted in Danish living rooms?

The vast majority of the clothes you wear are produced outside Denmark. But did you know that all Ecouture knitwear is home-knitted by a handful of super-sharp Danish women - in their own living rooms. We love this knitting event, and in honor of Fashion Revolution Week, we think it's about time we properly introduced you to a few of our talented "knitting ladies".

Meet Charlotte and Tina

Less than a year ago, we announced in our newsletter that we were looking for knitting experts to knit our new poncho design for us. It was only a few hours before the emails started pouring into our inbox. We hadn't realized that there were so many knitting-loving women in our own little Ecouture network. Well, it was fantastic that so many people wanted to knit for us, and it's also really nice to think that there are now women making Ecouture knitwear all over Denmark. One of the talented women who knits for us is Charlotte, who lives in West Zealand. She's been with us from the start and she's super sharp and diligent with her knitting needles. Charlotte tells us that she loves that she can combine her passion for knitting with making other women happy when they receive one of her home-knitted Ecouture ponchos.

In addition to Charlotte, Annette knits for us on Funen, Camilla knits for us in western Zealand and Gitte represents from Jutland. And just around the corner from our showroom, Tina is knitting in Amager. Tina is brand new to the knitting team, so give her a warm welcome.

If you're interested in ordering or reading more about the beautiful home-knitted ponchos and wrist warmers, you' ll find them here on the webshop.
